Nikkei Real Estate
APA Hotel Kamata-Eki Higashi
AB Capital Investment, a Hong Kong-based investment company, acquired Apa Hotel Kamata-Eki Higashi in Kamata, Ota-ku, in May 2023 through a special purpose company. The seller was Ota-ku-based Aoki Building, which is involved in the real estate and hotel business, along with its affiliated company.
The hotel is located approximately halfway between JR Kamata Station and Keikyu Kamata Station on the Keikyu Main Line, about a five-minute walk from either station. It is close to Nissay Aroma Square, a high-rise office building. Completed in 2016, it has 14 floors above ground and a gross floor area of 3,070 m2. It has 220 single, double, and twin guestrooms as well as a restaurant on the first floor.
AB Capital Investment invests in the Asia-Pacific region but with a particular focus on Japanese hotels. Between 2020 and 2022, it acquired Folio Sakura Shinsaibashi Osaka in Minami-Semba, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Prostyle Ryokan Asakusa Tokyo in Hanakawado, Taito-ku, Tokyo, and Hotel Livemax Shinjuku Kabukicho-Meijidori in Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. This latest transaction brings the company’s Japan hotel portfolio to four properties.
