Alan Kam, CEO of AB Capital, Speaks at EY Alternative Fund Symposium 2022

AB Capital is delighted to share that our CEO and Founder Alan Kam was invited as a panelist at EY Alternative Fund Symposium 2022.

Mr. Kam shared his perspective on how AB Capital has been able to navigate through COVID-19 and current unstable environment with a lot of uncertainties and protect investor's capital through robust risk management. "For example, we did not expect the USD to appreciate so much against JPY one year ago, however as a risk management, we have recommended and helped our investors to do hedging back in early 2021 before the JPY weakened," He explained, "that is why even when JPY dropped, our investors were still very happy because their positions are fully covered by the hedge."

When asked about the key takeaways for investing under current environment, Mr. Kam mentioned, "It is what we do to prepare ourselves that defines who we are in the market. No matter it is a good market or bad market, if you have prepared yourself well enough, you would be in the position to take advantage of the situation."
