Yutaro Nakadate, Director at AB Capital, Speaks at HJC

We are pleased to have attended the 3rd Hospitality Japan Conference at Tokyo, where our Director, Mr. Yutaro Nakadate, shared his views along with other panelists on the Japan hotel investment.

The discussion highlighted the impact of labor shortages, which have driven innovation such as automated "Smart Check-in" systems and new investment strategies like apartment hotels. These strategies align with AB Capital's focus on efficient middle/upper-middle scale hotels. Mr. Nakadate also emphasized investment opportunities in both major cities and regional areas, supported by government policies and the need to address overtourism and regional economic activation. Additionally, he addressed the increasing value of existing hospitality properties due to supply/demand imbalances and rising construction costs. AB Capital's strategies of rebranding, repositioning, and renovating were highlighted as methods to enhance property value and attract more guests.
